Kentucky Storms and Floods 2015

Severe storms and flooding devastated areas in Kentucky from July 11, 2015 to July 20, 2015.  There was a disaster declaration on August 12, 2015. 

Individual and Household Assistance is available to those in Breathitt County, Carter County, Fleming County, Johnson County, Perry County, Rowan County and Trimble Counties. 

Note:  THE FEMA APPLICATION DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 11, 2015.  Apply to FEMA to trigger the SBA Disaster loan process. THE SBA APPLICATION DEADLINE IS ALSO OCTOBER 11, 2015.

Residents and businesses affected by the July storms and flooding can apply for government disaster relief benefits online at http://www.disasterassistance.gov. 

THE DEADLINE TO APPLY TO FEMA IS OCTOBER 11, 2015.  YOU MUST PUT IN YOUR SBA APPLICATION BY SEPTEMBER 7, 2015 ALSO TO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. 

Individuals, including those who use 711 relay or VRS, can call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) while those who use TTY can call 1-800-462-7585. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. EDT seven days a week until further notice.

Another option is to register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov  or via web-enabled phone or tablet at m.fema.gov.
