Florida Hurricane Matthew and Hermine

Hurricane Hermine devastated areas in Florida from August 31 to September 7, 2016.   The President made a major disaster declaration for Florida on September 28, 2016.

Hurricane Matthew devastated areas in Florida on October 3, 2016.   The President made a major disaster declaration for Florida on October 8, 2016.

For Florida Hurricane Hermine (DR-4280), Individual and Household Assistance is available to those in Citrus, Dixie, Hernando, Hillsborough, Leon, Levy, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Taylor and Wakulla Counties.

For Florida Hurricane Matthew (DR-4283), Individual and Household Assistance is available to those in Brevard, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Nassau, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns and Volusia Counties.

Note:  THE FEMA APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR HURRICANE HERMINE IS NOVMBER 27, 2016 AND IT IS DECEMBER 7, 2016 FOR HURRICANE MATTHEW.  Apply to FEMA to trigger the SBA Disaster loan process. THE SBA APPLICATION DEADLINE IS ALSO NOVEMBER 27, 2016 FOR HURRICANE HERMINE AND DECEMBER 7, 2016 FOR HURRICANE MATTHEW.

Residents and businesses affected by Hurricanes Hermine and  Matthew can apply for government disaster relief benefits online at http://www.disasterassistance.gov. 

Individuals, including those who use 711 relay or VRS, can call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) while those who use TTY can call 1-800-462-7585. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. EDT seven days a week until further notice.

Another option is to register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov  or via web-enabled phone or tablet at m.fema.gov.
