This resource provides information on identity theft, contractor fraud, etc. Of import to disaster survivors is the assertion that "The Oklahoma Bar Association is providing free legal review of all building and repair contracts for victims of the disaster. The number to call to apply for services is 1-888-534-5243. Calls are answered Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Callers will be asked information to determine eligibility for services. Local offices will follow up and provide services as staff availability permits.
Legal Aid's statewide application line - 1-888-534-5243 - is the point of entry for all clients including senior law project applicants. After clients are deemed eligible for Legal Aid's services, based on their income, assets and type of legal problem, their cases will be referred to one of Legal Aid's 21 local offices for service.Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma is a not-for-profit law firm which provides free civillegal assistance to eligible low-income individuals and their families and to elderly persons in the areas of family, consumer, housing, health and employment.
